My Story
Roy Abou Khalil
Roy Abou Khalil is a Lebanese results-driven filmmaker with a passion for entertainment and a history of growing independent film projects and seeks to capture audiences and promote discussion in the artistic community by producing engaging, feature-length films. Roy fulfilled his passion for acting quite early in life in the Lebanese television where he started as an actor in 1986 and ascertained his devotion for directing and producing notably in 1997 and unleashed his inventiveness and intuitive inspiration in several projects all around the Middle East and North Africa. He travels worldwide and films documentaries from the Amazon Forest in Brazil to South Africa all the way to Rwanda, Uganda, Thailand and Indonesia.
Achievements
Roy initiated his journey by producing and directing music videos for several artists in the Middle East to engage their fans and build an audience. In addition, he served as a producer for many television shows for various channels such as MBC, STV and Saudia 1 and reviewed filming footage and developed directions for post-production effects and editing to achieve the greatest impact on the audience and convey emotions and tell a story through his music. On top of that, he instructed cast and crew members on how to successfully execute each shot, producing an accurate representation of the script and storyboard. He drafted storyboards with in-depth cinematography instructions to facilitate an efficient filming process and capture the vision of the film.
